With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Mark’s passion for the industry runs deep. As Intersection’s co-leader alongside Rocco Cortese, he inspires values-driven performance in his team, ensuring the highest quality client service in the brokerage and real estate services division. A life-long Padres fan, Mark can’t wait for the day San Diego brings home a championship. When he isn’t home tending to the horses and cows that reside on his boarding ranch, Mark is an avid jeep enthusiast and enjoys camping in the desert.
A real estate investment manager since 1987, Rocco has navigated multiple commercial real estate cycles, and built many strong relationships along the way. Alongside Mark Hoekstra, Rocco leads the Intersection team with integrity and wisdom, overseeing marketing, business development, and the investment advisory business. Rocco is a current board member for the San Diego Chapter of Entrepreneur’s Organization and the SISU Academy. An avid Bay Area sports fan, he’s waiting patiently for another 49er Super Bowl. He spends the rest of his free time playing guitar, skiing and keeping track of his three teenage children.
Eric has 25 years of broad business-management experience in commercial real estate and holds both Series 7 and 63 licenses. A San Francisco market leader, Eric has firmly planted Intersection’s flag in Northern California. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, hiking, skiing, and watching his children play youth sports. Eric offers securities through Concorde Investment Services, Inc. (CIS), member FINRA/SIPC. Intersection is independent of CIS.
During his 30-plus-year career, Kyle has completed more than $500 million in real estate sales. He continues to list an extensive portfolio of San Diego commercial properties at Intersection. Kyle engages in all aspects of commercial brokerage at the firm, representing landlords and tenants alike. A prolific sailor, he has participated in yacht races to Mexico, Hawaii, Bermuda, the Great Lakes, and more.
With over 25 years of commercial real estate experience in San Diego, Dan has completed more than $300 million in leasing and sales, and built many long-standing relationships along the way. He has held listings in all sectors, with expertise in office, healthcare, and R&D. In his spare time, Dan leads the local San Diego band “Phil N The Blanks.” Keep an eye out for him at your next SDSU tailgate.
Robert has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, both in brokerage and appraisal capacities. His broad expertise offers valuable insight on both property acquisition and disposition as well as investment sales, including NNN, retail, industrial, and multi-family. Robert and his wife Collette have three college-graduated and active children and enjoy their family time watching and participating in sports and hiking.
Henry has over 30 years’ experience, specializing in Industrial properties in North County, San Diego. Henry has experience in all aspects of commercial real estate brokerage, representing clients in sale, lease, sale-leaseback, and investment transactions. Henry has completed over 650 transactions in his core market area, successfully finding solutions to his clients’ Industrial Real Estate needs.
Scott’s expertise comes from over 30 years in property management, leasing, construction management, and property repositioning. He has overseen office, retail and industrial properties in the Bay Area totaling more than 11 million square feet. When he’s not working, Scott enjoys surfing, skiing, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter. He’s an accomplished musician and has played with several notable acts.
Director of Operations
With responsibilities including marketing, human resources, and office management, Rounak is integral to ensuring the transparency and responsiveness for which Intersection is renowned. With over 10 years’ experience in commercial and residential real estate, she also provides indispensable assistance to the firm’s managing partners. Rounak speaks both Kurdish and Farsi. When she’s not hard at work, she enjoys cooking, traveling abroad, and painting.
Director of Acquisitions
In addition to their sourcing and acquisition, Dan manages the performance of the funds and investments sponsored by Intersection. Previously, he worked for BioMed Realty, where he oversaw the execution of investment strategies for over 3.5 million square feet of assets in the San Francisco and U.K. portfolios. In his spare time, Dan enjoys brewing beer, playing music, trading stocks, and cheering for the Padres.
Director — Capital Markets
Chuck is focused on executing transactional activity with 1031 Exchange Investors in the San Diego region. With more than 17 years of experience, he holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and has worked with REITs, TICs and DSTs. Chuck is an avid sailor, enjoys international travel, and cooking. He offers securities through Concorde Investment Services, Inc. (CIS), member FINRA/SIPC. Intersection is independent of CIS.
Grant is a specialist in investment sales and acquisitions. He has a knack for finding deals that work for clients in search of 1031 Exchange reinvestment opportunities. Prior to Intersection, Grant worked at Dorado Financial, where he managed private equity assets and underwrote commercial and residential deals for possible value-add opportunities. In his spare time, Grant enjoys surfing, fishing, traveling and playing golf.
Natalie specializes in leasing of commercial space, representing both landlords and tenants, with an emphasis on retail. Prior to joining the brokerage team, she was responsible for a variety of marketing, administrative, research, and analytic initiatives. Serving in the industry for over seven years, Natalie’s well rounded experience make her a valuable asset to the brokerage team. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and being outdoors.
Steve graduated with a B.S. in International Relations from Stanford University and is currently attending Burnham-Moores School of Real Estate at USD. In addition to sourcing potential investment opportunities and creating investment memorandums, Steve assists the Brokerage team with various special projects. When he’s not at work or school, Steve enjoys golfing, hiking and cheering on his alma mater’s football team.
Orquidia excels at handling day-to-day financial duties for Intersection. Previously, she was the senior accountant at Davlyn Investments, Inc., where she managed a portfolio of nine operating properties and 14 sub-entities. Over the past 10-plus years, Orquidia has run financials for investors, processed year-end financial packets for auditors, and performed technical accounting work. She likes running, hot yoga, and spending time with her family.
Debra K. Sebastian
Real Estate Manager
Debra’s robust real estate knowledge comes from over 20 years in the industry. Her previous experience includes working as a property administrator where she assisted with the day-to-day management of a 1.5-million-square-foot portfolio of office, retail, and industrial properties, before becoming the director of compliance and assuming total responsibility for compliance of policies, procedures, and systems.
Real Estate Manager
Braden manages day-to-day operations of properties within the Intersection portfolio, helping to ensure the responsiveness that’s central to our philosophy. He’s responsible for both fiscal and property management in connection with each property. He also maintains good client/tenant/owner relations and conducts regular on-site inspections. Outside of the office, Braden enjoys volunteering as a youth baseball instructor and playing slow-pitch softball.
As an Acquisitions Analyst, Anton sources potential investment opportunities, supports underwriting potential acquisitions and dispositions and creates investment memorandums for review and approval by the Investment Committee. While he is not at work, Anton enjoys playing baseball, watching soccer, and trading stocks.
Real Estate Manager
Faith brings more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience to Intersection’s Real Estate Services team. She has managed many commercial asset types including industrial, retail, medical office and biotech. In her free time, Faith enjoys cooking, traveling philanthropy and photography.
Alma assists Intersection’s real estate managers with the day-to-day management of client real estate portfolios. She is integral to projects that help ensure the firm’s operations are running smoothly. Fluent in English and Spanish, Alma enjoys the outdoors and is passionate about serving in her community. She also likes traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
Nora works with Intersection’s real estate managers to ensure the seamless day-to-day management of client portfolios. An ABA-Approved Paralegal, she is also integral to special projects that support operations. Before coming to Intersection, Nora worked as a property administrator for the Barry Real Estate Group in Boston. She is a proud member of the San Diego Chapter of Women in e-Discovery.
